How to judge the tensile strength of steel welded mesh
2025-01-22
In the steel welded mesh, when the tensile strength of the three specimens is not less than the specified value of the steel bar of this grade, and at least two specimens are broken outside the weld and are plastically fractured, the batch of joints shall be judged to be qualified in the tensile test.
When the tensile strength of two specimens of the steel mesh is less than the specified value, or brittle fracture occurs in the weld or heat-affected zone of the three specimens, the batch of joints shall be judged as unqualified at one time; when the joint specimen is brittle fractured in the weld or heat-affected zone, but its tensile strength is greater than or equal to 1.1 times the specified tensile strength of the steel bar, it can be regarded as ductile fracture outside the weld or heat-affected zone.
When the tensile strength of one specimen is less than the specified value, or two specimens are brittle fractured in the weld or heat-affected zone, retesting shall be carried out.
During the re-test, 6 more test pieces should be cut. If the tensile strength of one test piece is still less than the specified value, or 3 test pieces have brittle fractures in the weld or heat-affected zone, and their tensile strength is less than 1.1 times the specified value of the steel bar, the batch of joints should be judged as unqualified.
